9 weeks and a happy 23rd birthday to myself

Today was my first official Doctors appointment for this pregnancy. I have changed doctors again because my NP for Xander moved to a nurse midwife clinic. I decided to stick with the OB that delivered Xander. I'm not moving offices. I refuse.
My mom had to drop me off so I could meet Alan there due to the weather being so terrible! Well I got weighed and now weigh 122 lbs. I'm not complaining at all. The new nurse and I chatted for forever it seemed. She's cute. I really like her. The other nurse came in and told me that Dr. Judd was out of the office because they have 9 mom's delivering at the hospital. Which if you are a mom you know what happens at the first doctors appointment. Need I say more? So I was actually relieved! So, she said because I have to come in again for him they will give me a peek a boo ultrasound free of charge. yay! So in 7 weeks I find out the gender of this baby! Looks like I came into the office on the right day. And to think I almost rescheduled cause of this weather. Happy Birthday to me!
We got called back for my check up ultrasound after having the problems with going into the ER. It looks like I am still on light duty. No nothing. NOTHING! Go ahead read into it. WE CAN"T DO A DARN THING!
Now this is a bad U/S picture because she focused on the baby and it doesn't look much like one yet. But if you look to the left you can see a dark spot. Like a deflated balloon. If she went over more you could see it get bigger but we didnt get a print out of that one. Thats what they think is another sack and the reason I have to lay low because Im still at risk for a miscarriage. Also they backed my due date 5 days so my new one is August 4. BUMMER!!!!!
Now as for my birthday we get to have pizza (because I DO NOT WANT TO COOK! and cake and icecream. Mint chocolate chip!) And my movie of choice.

Christmas!!!!

Christmas this year was interesting to say the least. We had our annual Rosenbaum's Saturday before Christmas get together at my aunts studio. We were forced to announce our little pregnancy. tradition to our family for everyone to say whats new and who is having a baby or whatnot. There are usually a few. Wasn't it last year we announced that we were pregnant with Xander. I swear it was just a bit ago and now I'm on my 3rd. Would someone please tell me why I got so embarrassed when Alan announced it? maybe it was the fact that he said, "Xander just turned 7 months old oh and we're expecting, AGAIN!" it must just be me because they are are very excited and happy for us.
This year we went to Jumping Jacks with Alan's family on Christmas EVE. It's a starting tradition from last year and the kids LOVE it! My kids do at least. And by kids I mean Alan and Kymber!

After that we went over to his brother's for a big dinner. My assignment was to make cream pies. So I made a coconut cream, banana cream, and chocolate cream. Yum! We had to leave to make sure we made it home in time for Kymber's dad to come and get her for the night. Such a bummer because I wanted her to wake up the next morning and see her presents. Nature of the beast I guess.
Needless to say when we picked her she wasn't in the best mood. due to not taking naps the past couple days I'm sure...
But the mood lightened when she got to open her gifts...

Yes, even bubba was excited to open presents...

A day that I will never forget

It seemed like yesterday, Friday, would be just like any other pregnancy day. Other than the fact that we had an ultrasound scheduled at UVRMC in Provo and a fun ward party later that evening. I was pretty stoked for that. Other than the fact that I had pretty much stayed on the couch for most of the day due to not feeling so great at all. Kind of comes with the territory so I cant complain much ha ha.
Well we went in there at 3 and they finally called us in. Well there is a baby! After 2 weeks of denial I finally saw the baby and knew the days of mornings sickness were not in vain!
I am 7 weeks 6 days along and am due July 31st. (So that means I will be beyond miserable during the summer. Big. Fat. And Pregnant.)

After of course we went home and told everyone the news.

Later that night a few hours later we were almost ready to leave for the Ward Christmas Party (about 5:45 pm) when I noticed I was bleeding, I went to the bathroom and passed a big blood clot. Now if you have ever been pregnant you know that this is NOT good. We gave the kids to my brother Jake and his wife Estefany and they would take them to the party. I was pretty bummed because I wanted to take them to see Santa Clause, but knew that this was important.

We arrived at Payson hospital and they immediately got me in my own little room instead of just a space with a curtain that covers my little area. A perk of being a patient of Gyno? Not to mention the nice LCD flat screen to which we watched bits of Madagascar while we waited.
Finally the doctor came in and told us that chances were that I had lost the baby were pretty good. I was prepared for this one. But it broke my heart because not even 3 hours before we had seen the baby and heard its heartbeat! Nothing can prepare you for it, event though we tried. The ultrasound tech finally came in a wheeled us into the room to get yet another ultrasound.
We would NEVER believe what we saw.

A little baby with a ♥heartbeat. Sigh of relief.

Now...what happened next is beyond me and I am still in shock.

He showed us another part where it looked like it was a completely different sack. Yes. He said I may have miscarried a twin! Holy cow...! He also showed us that the amniotic sack was tearing away from the uterine wall and may be causing the bleeding.
Someone please explain to me how UVRMC could have missed this one. Granted it was the fastest ultrsound I had ever gotten earlier. Will I go there again to get one? I think not. Seems like when the other guy had told us one he was prett confident.

So...I was put on slight bed rest. Told to take it easy. The doctor said that it is still possible I am having a miscarriage and that it is 50/50 I could lose this one. This is not going to be fun. For one, I have a 7 month old who is a mama boy and also a 3 year old who also loves playing with mommy. Did I mention I am a nursery leader?

It will be touch and go for a while but I'm sure Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. We are so grateful that little ♥ beat is still there. This will forever be a day that I will never forget. The day we gained and lost a baby all within 3 hours of each other. I know the Heavenly Father had a special place for that one in heaven for that one. I'm beyond grateful that I was good enough that He trusted me to help it along the way for that time.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!

I hate snow. HATE IT! Its so cold and it's hard not being able to take a walk outside in the warm sun...Kymber however was so excited for the snow. I need to get her a snow suit so I don't have to worry about her getting cold. Until then,I just put on layer upon layer for her. Still does that trick.
now Kymber loves eating the snow and touching it, but it becomes a different story when her poor hands are stinging from the freezing snow. then it is all the sudden my fault and my problem. She hasn't quite grasped the concept that snow is cold. So wear gloves. To her they just get in the way. You'd think that silly girl would learn....

Yesterday is when the snow really came. To stay. Did I mention I hate the snow?? I decided I took Kymber out while I shoveled the driveway. She helped. Sort of.

Dear Santa...

I was so super excited to have Kymber write a letter to Santa this year. She keeps telling me what she wants so I wanted to get it on record because it was such a funny list. Yes, these are Kymber's words exactly. Might I mention how she closes her letter? We have taught her well! And yes everyone those are not Christmas stickers. Kymber insisted on using these ones. Adds character I think!
♥Please excuse my very fast handwriting. I could not keep up with her list!

And baby makes 3!

Yes, I am guessing you are either laughing right now or stunned and do not know what to say. That's pretty much what we're doing.

The past few weeks I haven't been feeling up to par. I can only describe it as blah. Yes. BLAH!

The other day Alan wanted to go to his brothers house so this gave me the opportunity to do a little bit of Christmas shopping at Walmart. Well at the very end I started feeling not right and decided to grab a subway just in case. While I was paying I had that passing out feeling. This is exactly what I felt like with Xander. SO the very next day I took a trip to the dollar store and got 2 pregnancy tests. I did this because I have cried wolf in the past and didn't want to spend the money on those expensive ones just to have it show up negative. I was convinced it would be.
So that Friday night I took one of those tests. TWO SOLID PINK LINES FOLKS. PREGNANT.

Well my baby, yes my 7 month old (Do not laugh), decided to wake me up at 2:30 a.m. and so I gave him a bottle. I didn't want to nurse him just in case I was in fact expecting. And what do ya know, I could not sleep for the life of me. I obviously had things on my mind! I got up and watched some TV and decided to take that second test. Yes people TWO SOLID PINK LINES.

I ended up telling Alan the next day and making plans with my mom to head over to Springville clinic to get one last test done. 3rd times a charm right? Plus I was in a little bit of denial. After my get together with my girlfriends we headed over. I'm guessing you know what happened next. Nurse comes out. "Yup, it was positive!"

So, I do not know when I am due (because I was nursing Xander) and I have to wait till I can get a doctors appointment and probably get an ultrasound done to determine that.

I shall be a mother of two and my kids will be about anywhere from 14-16 months apart. I guess if it's another boy (which we suspect) they will be buddies!

Judgement Day

Today I learned an important lesson. Never settle for anything less than what you deserve. Also that I ♥ my children beyond measure.

Court was today. For child custody case on my daughter and her dad. Now I will not go into detail on what happened to many reasons. First off this is a public blog still and anyone can view it. And also because I have to no reason to write hate messages about anyone concerning the matter. I have no animosity towards her father and never will. I honestly am glad Kymber can have her dad in her life, But that does not say it will forever be hard on all of us.

Today was beyond what I thought it would be. It is always hard to be reminded of the fact that because of the actions I made (mind you KYMBER IS NOT MY MISTAKE) Kymber will have to endure and suffer the consequences of my actions.
Everything was in my favor for those who don't already know except for "JOHN DOE" not having to provide the transportation during the time when Alan has police academy. Which won't be that bad. If I have to I will figure it out. If it is for Kymber.

I have made mistakes in the past and I need to learn to let them go. I feel immensely bad for what I'm about to put Kymber through but I know I cannot blame it on myself. Takes two to tango. My mom and husband always say to me concerning the situation "hind site is always 20/20." That phrase is my life. How many of us have sat there and said "Now if I could go back I'd do this differently"? Of course we all do. BUT we can't. Wishing will not get you anywhere. I'll change what I said if anyone comes to me with a time machine! I'd never ever take back Kymber but maybe I could have handled things differently.

This whole situation couldn't have been handled without the Gospel in my life. If it wasn't for it "Id still be a wreck and been a deer in the headlights!

Whether or not Alan is Kymber's father by blood or marriage this will always be my little family, even if I have to share her.

6 1/2 months

My little Xander is now 6 1/2 months. His is the best baby a mom could ever dream of.
So far Xander:

♥Blows raspberries and spits everywhere.

♥Has become a mama's boy contrary to what his daddy thought he'd be even though I told he would be. I can't leave the room or he has a fit.

♥Has no teeth yet. Kymber got hers at 4 and 5 months. Not that I'm complaining one bit! Can you say ouch??!!!

♥Loves baby and always has. Yes, even the meats that smell so AWFUL! Even though he'll eat them I have stopped feeding it to him because his diapers were not so kind to me.

♥Can hold his own bottle. I still nurse him but handing him a bottle every now and again has saved me plus it gives Alan some daddy son time.

♥Xander has mastered rolling over but can barely sit up on his own. Doctor said its cause he's a chunk.

♥Weighs 20 lbs.

♥Still wakes up AT LEAST once or twice a night. Drives me up the wall considering Kymber slept through the night at 6 weeks old! What a mama's boy!!!

Turkey Daze!

SO GLAD IT IS OVER.......................
This year I was tempted to write yet another "I am thankful" post , but decided against it. Because I would basically just end up cut copy and pasting it.
Thankgiving this time around was more complicated. SO MANY PEOPLE TO GO TO!!!! It was supposed to be "Rosenbaums" year and get together with everyone but since our family has gotten far too big for anyone to handle everyone did their own thing. My grandparents still invited us over. They invited all the smaller families to make sure the tradition was still somewhat living. I said we'd stop by at least. I had talked to my mom already and committed to having Thanksgiving at her side of the family. Plans were made. And then the VERY NEXT DAY I got a text from Alan's sister asking me to bring jello for Thanksgiving dinner. I was beyond confused. Alan and I had this discussion the night before! Even cause slight tension and we had agreed to go to my mom's. I replied oh we're having dinner at my mom's. Come to find out Alan had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN about our little convo and committed to her. In case you weren't counting That's is 3 Thanksgivings.

So the schedule was like this. Alan's Sisters: 1 pm Grandparents: 1-2 PM Mom's side:4 PM. We ate the big dinner at his sisters, ran over to the grandparents and just visited. We were beyond full cause his sister is an amazing cook. Then headed to the Water's to eat again.

This may sound awesome to some, but let me tell you, it was far from it! I got sick for 2 days strait and have finally started to settle down today. Needless to say we got together with my siblings tonight at my mom and step dad's house for yet another Thanksgiving dinner.
Alan is going back on his diet tomorrow and I vow I will not eat turkey for a long time.

My sister in law Estefany and Kymber

My very attractive husband who looks like he may kill me for taking his picture.
Kymber was not happy at me at all because I wouldn't let her eat Xander's little treats. Caught her trying to put one in her mouth.

'Tis the season to be jolly!

Yes. I caved. We put up our Christmas tree last night. I though it would take allot to convince Mr. Scrooge (aka Alan) but he actually was cool about it. hmmmm....maybe I am finally rubbing off on him! Kymber was soooo excited she kept trying to get ahead of me. Sooooo cute....BUT BEYOND FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! After the tree was up she danced around the tree singing what sounded like "Tis' The Season " or some Christmas song I'm couldn't quite make out. To be honest with you I think she had the tune to it but was making up her own words.

Life's Little Kodak moments ♥

So for a long time now I've been a shutterbug mommy and taking endless pictures of my cute little family and of other random stuff. It's always been more of a hobby really. I actually found something I enjoy. SURPRISE SURPRISE. I've had a chance to take pics on a few cameras, but it seems like alot of the good pics I've taken on my Sony Digital. My little digital camera I take EVERYWHERE with me. To capture Life's Little Kodak Moments ♥. Now explain that one to me. Pretty soon I'm going to get a super nice camera ( yay for taxes!)
Now why am I blogging about this? I HAVE NO CLUE. Maybe to vent and get some opinions about the pics I take....

Take this one for example: i pretty much love this picture of my sister's baby belly. Some might not like it, also if I hadn't of edited it I'm not sure if it would have turned out the same...
This one is of my baby boy Xander (6 months old) Taken with my little digital camera.

I guess I'm not sure where I'm actually going with this blog. VENTING SESSION was majorly needed.
Thank you for reading even if it was just to cure your boredom!

Booty Baby!

I happen to be very proud of this bum even if it means that I have to buy super sized diapers to make sure they fit his booty!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween this year was interesting with 2 kids. And it came up on me so fast! Kymber this year wanted to be a fairy, so she and I were fairies together. BUT I was the dark fairy and of course she was the sweet white innocent one! Xander was something from where the wild things are. I chose this only because I wanted to paint his face and because it was a warn costume. My dear husband LOVES AC/DC, so he was Angus Young (the guitarist) Oh us grownups looked awful BUT the kids looked pretty darn cute!! I was pretty excited for this year until Alan all the sudden got hit with the flu Halloween day which meant I was to take the kids myself. I VOW I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! I met up with my cute friends Kristin and her kids. It's become tradition of ours to go trick-or-treating up Springville main street. Her cute little girl was a fairy too and so was Kristen. No, we did not plan it. We did look funny will all us fairies though!

Here are my cute kiddos!

Fall Family Pictures!

I was determined to get our family pictures done and over with! I plan on doing them at least every other year hopefully. VERY surprised that Alan was so good about it! It was prob ably because I let him wear a t-shirt and jeans...My brother Jake took some of the pictures that included all of us and I took the others. it was going great until we got kicked out by a dungeons and dragons group "because they rented the place for $400 and said we didn't pay anything to be there" Pretty sure everyone and their bridal gown goes up to Castle Rock to take pictures don't ya think?!!!!

This one is my pictures I took of Kymber. She was being shy, but I took it as a good photo op! I still need to fix the editing though..

I LOVE this one of Xander and Alan. Xander's eyes are SOOOO big. Goes to show you what he does when he sees his mama

I'm back on the grid and here for a much needed updating!

I think catching you up on the last 5 months might just be pretty impossible and would take me FOREVER!!! So I'll do the best I can and do a readers Digest version and catch you up on the family!

June- Alan started academy! 3 long months of work and school.

July- Our sweet little (BIG!!!) Xander was blessed July 4th weekend by his daddy. Sooooo many people showed up...I think I counted 16 people in the circle. I'm so thankful for such a supporting family and for so many friends

August- Alan finished the first part of academy and now has a huge break! Starts up again in January!
September-Xander is 4 months old this month. He weighs 18lbs and is eating all the baby food he can get! Alan also finshed his first academy block and now has a break until January. Half way done till he's a cop! yay!

October
- My baby girl turned 3 this month! We had her a little birthday party up at my brothers becuase our place is just way too small to have everyone in it. I kept asking Kymber what she wanted and her answer was always lipstick. Such a girly girl!!

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

And one year goes by in a blink of an eye! Been married one year. hahahah One year and one month old baby later and we're still together. I love my husband so much. We've been through alot and I'm so glad he stuck by me through it all. Hopefully we'll have many more to come. (Hopefully next year we'll be able to actually celebrate it) Not much you can do with 2 kids and one of them being an infant!

4th generation

We planned a family picnic because Alan's Grandpa Carl is coming up from California to visit for a while. i have never met him so I was happy. I love family!! It also gave me the chance to take a 4th generation picture for them because I wanted xander to have a pic with his grandpa. sure made everyone proud. Also kymber loves loves loves to play with her cousins as much as she can. Poor girl doesn't have any older siblings to play with. Just her mommy and daddy Alan.

so much to write...so little time

I guess that's the life of a mom. So much do write (do) with so little time. Even for a stay at home mom. Busy busy busy.

I'm not a mom of 2 and am lovin it. Xander will be 3 weeks old on Thursday. As of Last Friday he weighed 10 lbs and 4 oz. He's gaining weight like no other! He eats and eats. Drains me empty. The cute little boy has been smiling from day one and I have my camera full of pictures. I get camera happy but later on in life I'm sure we'll all appreciate how many pictures mommy took!

Kymber loves her little brother, but hates me it seems like. Ok, so not hates me but doesn't like it when instead of getting her breakfast the second she wakes up I have to feed her brother. She does not like that, but is now getting used to the little big bundle that's hanging around. She now knows he's here to stay.

Alan is loving having a boy around the house event though all Xander does is eat sleep and make dirty diapers. He keeps saying how he wants to try for another one when Xander turns a year old. I told him no way! Maybe wait two years. Alan starts the police academy June 9th and is very excited. His schedule will be full and won't be home alot with family, but it's only for a year with a few months break in between. And it'll all be worth it. He's very excited and it'll help him get back into the shape he want to be in.

I am doing awesome! I weigh 128 lbs as of last Thursday. basically back to my pre preggo weight. For that, I am thankful I have good genes! Finding time to do laundry is difficult and poor Alan's wife can't keep up. But having my kids is so worth it and I love staying home with them.

Welcome baby Xander Logan Albright!!

May 14, 2009

Finally he is here!!!!

Here is the story...

Was scheduled for my induction at Orem Community at 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
6:00 A.M.- Left for hospital.

6:30 -Arrived and got to my room. Changed into and waited. And waited. And waited.
7:10- Got checked and was at 2-3 cent dilated. Got all the numerous questions done and paperwork done. Most of it anyway...

7:20-Got I.V all hooked up. Nurse Jill way super nice because she numbed the skin before she stuck me. SOOOO nice! Start pitocin drip.
8:20- Started feeling contractions a little more. Not su[er bad at all. Dr. Judd came in and broke water. Weirdest feeling ever!!!

10:00- Got epidural. Might as well be comfortable right? Had to have 2 extra doses after the first intial one because it would NOT work.

10:45- Very discouraged. Only at 4 cent.
11:15- So thought i was going to get out of the whole throwing up thing with this kid. NOT!!!! I'll spare the details

11:45- 5 cent. dilated. Super frustrated.

12:15 P.M.- 7 cent dilated. YAhoooooo!!! Finally making progress!

12:55- 8 Almost 9 cent dilated. Hurting with contractions really bad in one spot on my belly. Anethesiologist was called in and got 2 extra doses of the magic medicine. Finally worked. Side effects sucked. I'd rather throw up then feel pure labor.
1:15- My I.V. came out. Holy cow I bled all over the bed. 3 nurses came in and fixed me right up.

1:23-Finally got it all cleaned up and my cute nurse Jill decided to check me. FULLY DILATED. Holy crazy past little while. So happy!

1:40 Started pushing. and BAM!

1:46- Welcome Xander Logan Albright. All 9 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 inches of him!!! Yes. it was all me. Ok so I had a little help with the episiotomy but dang I'm good!!

A quirk in the usual boring pregnancy

So on Tuesday I was having alot of Braxton Hicks. ALOT. They got painful and worse so I thought that that night night just be the night to have the baby. But nope, never had him. Good thing I had a doctor's appointment the next day.

Wednesday:

36 week checkup.

Still 152 lbs and blood pressure is still perfect.

BUT

I guess I was dehydrated which was causing all those contractions. Not Braxton Hicks I guess.

Also the baby wan't really moving since the night before so doctor sent me over to the hospital to get a non stress test. The baby turned out fine and amniotic fluid was great. They were picking up my contractions every 3-5 min. Crazy! But still got sent home. My Doctor said contract away. Lovely. Just take the baby out already!! I am now to my 1 doctor appointment a week. Keep you updated. But for now, here is the latest and maybe the last preggo pic taken of me!

Utah's Hogle Zoo

Last Saturday we decided on whim that we'd take the day and go to the zoo. Kymber could not hardly wait. She wanted to see the "aminals". A Saturday + Perfect weather= CROWDED. But soooooo worth the look on Kymber's face. I did suprisingly well concidering I'm 8 months pregnant. I had to sit down alot!

Spring has sprung

I decided to do my own garden this spring. Half for fun, half to keep me busy till this baby comes out. It's little but it does the job. I planted radishes, onions, and peas. None of which I though would really grow with my luck. But lo and behold the are growing like weeds! This pic was taken a while ago so by now they've grown so much, but here a little preview. I'm so proud of myself...

Easter

Happy Easter!! Yes, I cheated and got a pre made Easter basket. But she loved it and I did too because it didn't have alot of candy in it.

More Spring Fever....

I'm having a hard tim staying inside much longer. I want to take Kymber outside and play, but it just keeps snowing. I thought for sure the snw was done and over with so I got some pots and decided to paint them with Kymber. To cure her poor boredom. Needless to say it snowed the
next day and now its a waiting game. WE WANT TO GARDEN!!!

Mine and Kymber's creations!

Baby Update

Ok, I had my last 4 week appointment last Wednesday and I'm barely getting an update on here. Everything looks great. Gained 6 lbs in 4 weeks. I seriously thought I didn't gain any but I guess I have. Bummer. I now weigh 150 lbs. Which is 3 lbs shy of what I weighed the day before I had Kymber. aaaahhhh! Heather, my doctor, said he's head down now, so that's a good thing. Although I'm hurting bad. My ribs and back ache constantly and the heartburn isn't livable. Luckily she said i can take Pepcid ac once a day and Tylenol PM at night. So far so good. It has literally saved me!!!

I have 6 weeks till the 14th of May! The day I can be induced if I haven't had him by then. I'm getting pretty anxious. I want to pack my hospital bag already. I will in a few weeks and already have the list of things to pack, just so I don't forget anything.

We also moved our computer out of the book room and moved Xander's stuff in there. Not much of a bedroom, but enough. I made him a simple, but cue blanket the other day.

Alot of catching up to do...with nothing to write about??

Ok it's been forever since I've updated my blog. We decided about a week ago to get rid of our Internet and get cable instead. No special reasons, just decided it was a better choice. So...instead of updating his thing ALL THE TIME because I have nothing better to do, I will update it when I actually have something to say and I can run upstairs and use my brother's computer.
So here are the updates on my little family...

1. We finally have a new car. Our other one pooped out on us. THANK HEAVENS REALLY! Alan wouldn't let the thing go. It's not new. It' his sisters old Hyundai Elantra but its new to us and so much nicer than our P.O.S Geo Prism.

2. Getting ready or this baby. Only like 7 1/2 weeks to go. AND IM FEELING IT BIG TIME!!! I have an OBGYN appointment on Wednesday so we'll see how thing are going. I don't think Ive gained any weight though. I'll make sure to post a blog to update you on whats going on. I swear sometimes I think he's going to come early... I mad a blanket for little Xander, but again I have failed to take a picture So, soon enough Ill post one. Nothing special, but at least its getting me way excited for him to come and its making it pretty real.

3. I went to Relief Society on Thursday. It was probably the most fun Ive had at one. We did a purse swap and had dinner and some of us talked about "Purse"onal progress through relief society and life basically. Thats a whole other post though.

Night out on the Town

Alan and I have wanted to go up and see the Joseph Smith movie for quite some time. The last time we saw it was when we were engaged. So yesterday we got Alan's mom to take Kymber for the rest of the day and overnight, so we wouldn't have to worry about being back at a certain time.

We got to Salt Lake and took pictures and saw the Joseph Smith movie. It's funny to me that Alan's NEVER cries. No not even at our wedding or anything. But the few times I've seen him cry was at this movie. It's cute and touching (him being so touched). The movie is amazing and it really makes you rethink your life and how you are living the gospel. Joseph Smith gave his life up for something he believed in. Imagine how much faith a person has to have. No wonder Emma Smith went off the deep end after Joesph was martyred. I would too. I'm sure the Lord had mercy on her.

(yes I took all these)

It was so nice to be able to go and have that time with Alan. We NEVER get out and a couple. Right from the beginning we've had Kymber and never really got to have that time together. (Unselfish act on Alan's part coming in when Kymber was a year old and marrying me no matter what.)

After wards we went to Olive Garden in Sandy. To end the night perfectly. We were both craving it. Alan got the Tour of Italy and I got the Stuffed Chicken Marsala. Sadly enough I was very disappointed at it. That's what I get for going outside my little box and soup and salad are yummy.

It was a nice evening without a little two year old and I definitely am going to make more time for me and Alan as a couple.

Spring Fever!!

Yesterday was perhaps one of the most beautiful days thus far this season. I try not to get my hopes up because I know it's Utah and it could snow any minute! But when you're forced ot use your sunglasses and turn up the A/C you know it's perfect outside. So Kymber and I decided to take a stroll down to Grandma and Grandpa Rosenbaum's. Kymber was soooo excited to get out and play in the sun!

6 month pregnancy update

Yesterday was my 28 week checkup at good ol' Aspen Womens' Center. I'm one of those girls who absolutely love going to her appointments.

Weight:
144 lbs. (gained 3 since last appointment which I swear I've gained more than that because of the way my clothes are fitting)

Blood Pressure: Perfect

Iron Level: Exactly where they wanti it to be now and I can now start taking my iron pills only every other day.

I was pretty worried abut the day that this little guy is due. May 21st because Alan's family is going away the weekend of the 22nd and Alan has National Guard the 16th and 17th. If I went into labor during the time he went there is no guarantee I could get ahold of him, plus he's be all the way in Lehi at Camp Williams. Really you just can never predict what your body will do.
I talked to Heather ( my nurse practitioner/nurse midwife) about my concerns and she said that if I haven't gone into labor by the 14th I could be induced on that day! yay. AND if I'm dilating before then she can strip my membranes to help me along as early as 38 weeks. Which is what will prob happen because it worked with Kymber. Needless to say I'm pretty stoked now and am more excited to have this little guy!
I know I just posted preggo pics but Ill post another one just because. =)

KFC...not for the weak in stomache.

You know when I was younger KFC was never my favorite place to eat. My family and I have occationally gotten it but it was never my first choice. I have grown to it and mostly just like their coleslaw...
well last night we were going over to our friends Adrian and Alisha Garlick to hang out and let Kymber play with their kids. We go over there often and switch off for dinner. It was our turn.
"How about KFC?" Alan texts me.
I say sure because what else are we going to bring tonight? Don't really feel like cooking. This is however a choice I will end up regretting.
The Garlicks say they'll go in on the hot wings there so we get an order of them. No problem.
We get to their house, we start eating. Everyone is almost done...until Alisha says "oh my gosh!" I'm glad I had had my camera with me to capture this moment...

Here is why she make that profound statement.

For those of you that don't understand..those are feathers. Yes feathers on those hot wings. We could not believe it. Veins and everything. We inspected the first and found more than we bargained for. Which made us all sick because needless to say we had already gobbled down a few.
We got Adrian to call KFC to see what they could do. Mostly just to see what they'd say and also cause he's a policeman in Lehi. We thought it would be funny if he just so happened to mention that too while talking to the KFC people.
Here is how the conversation basically went. Some things are omitted only because of the lady repeating herself.
Adrian- "Yes can I please talk to the manager?"
KFC-"This is she."
Adrian- "yes we wanted to call and let you guys know that we got some hot wings here that we ordered and my wife found feathers on them." "We want to know what you can do about it"

This is where tings get omitted cause it was boring and she kept repeating herself.

KFC-"yes I've seen feathers on them before" (ok so that's basically what she said. I'm not even kidding. Apparently they don't give a crap about their customers. And yes this lady goes on to have the nerve to ask us if we would like more hot wings. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Like we want them now. He of course explains that to her. I guess it was a hard concept to understand.
She ended up getting his name and said they would reimburse us for the food and more. Whatever more means.

The moral of the story is. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. You hear all these horror stories about fast food places and what they do. I became a victim of it.
