I do love going to my OB appointments. And since I changed to the nurse mid wife clinic it's been nice to express how you feel without feeling completely like an idiot with a male Doctor saying its just pregnancy. You'll get over it basically.
Well, I've been having painful Braxton Hicks lately and I am not too happy with it. This early this hard? That's what I get for having my kids soo close in age. But being able to talk to the midwife about it made me feel better.
She offered to check me and make sure I wasn't dilated and gave me some pointers and told me to time them. They said they really don't want me to go into pre term labor. Finally someone who listens to me! Feels nice to be treated like a mom giving birth instead of another lady having yet another baby. if that makes any sense at all....
Blood pressure is great (as usual) and I now weigh 133.3 lbs. That makes a grand total of 12 lbs. gained but it sure feels like more. Goes so show you I'm all baby. Not that I'm complaining....maybe bragging as little? I'm allowed.
I would be posting a nice update pic on this belly of mine but nope. My camera went AWOL. Yes, poof! Gone. That is my life line and if its lost for good I will have to convince Alan to get me another one.

20 weeks and 2 days
Today we had our official 20 weeks gender U/S and yes, it is still a little boy!Since I now go to the nurse/ midwife clinic I have to go get my ultrasounds done at UVRMC. I know I said I'd never go there again due to the fact of not informing us of the problems on the first U/S we got but this we in a different part and going to New Beginnings is totally worth the change. Ultrasound says Im not measuring July 26 as a due date but keeping July 31... far from the Aug 4 due date I was given a while back! Also the baby is a few ounces shy of a pound!

No weight check this time (not that I'm too excited to know) just a good old check up on the baby. Here are the pics...

A mother's work is never done...

My Grandma Martha was known for her little cliches. Her frequent one was, "Many hands make light work!"
I don't think I'm made for for the corporate or retail world although I'd survive just fine and enjoy it fully. Staying home with my kids is the one thing I've wanted to do since I can even remember. School was never really an option in my eyes. This was my dream. Yes. My dream was snot noses, E.R. visits, terrible 2's and horrible 3's, and dirty diapers. My day consists of getting up in the morning with an 'mommy I want cereal!!!" Asking every 2 min while I frantically try and change the worst possible diaper you could ever imagine coming from a cute little 9 1/2 month old boy, who is also yelling and if he could talk he's be saying, "Mom I want food!" Cereal is the easiest but when we don't have milk I'm soo grateful my Kymber loves oatmeal. And seriously what 3 yr old does?? Breakfast is over and majority of the time cereal ends up on the floor. My poor floor. When we get a house I will make sure it has tile or laminate floors.
Then channel 33 ( Kymber knows how to turn it to this by the way) Disney channel where I've seen these episodes about a million times but keeps the kids happy while I get some food too.A rarity around my house for me to eat in peace.
The rest of the day consists of laundry, dishes, cleaning and fighting with the 3 yr old on how many outfits she changes into every 10 min. My Xander is crawling now and has become quite the "needy baby". So he likes to be held if not distracted. Makes my work about ten times harder. Thank heavens when daddy comes home then Xander will have nothing to do with me. Daddy's boy 100%. yes, he wont even look at me when he around as if he'd be betraying Alan in some way. I try to grab him but he will swat at me and scream bloody murder.
No I am not complaining, but this does make it hard for Alan to help around the house which is much needed because by now my nerves are shot and am on edge. Oh, did I mention I am also 5 months pregnant??
I do love my husband, and even though I have to pick up his clothes from the bathroom every day and such I adore the heck out of him and I'd never wanna get rid of him. I so often tease him that it's cheaper to keep her, but we're inseparable no matter what the circumstances. Alan works and has school every night so him helping around the house hardly happens and when it does, well, it's not the way I usually do it. And it's pretty much easier for me to do it. So yes, I stress myself out on cleaning the house only to do it the very next day or day after.
Tale as old as time, A mother's work is never done.
HOWEVER, the hugs, kisses, bedtime stories, "mommy I love you!" and smiles are the best reward after a long day. As frustrated as I get, when 8:30 rolls along ans we say our prayers and I get that hug and kiss and Kymber asks "Mommy, Jesus watch over me?" I know that I must be doing something right.

Baby update!

I have been suffering from the dumb sinus infection/cold/ whatever else is going around. I'm pretty sure I've had it all. And if you have kids and are a stay at home mom, this is sooo difficult not to mention frustrating to say the least. Trying to keep up with the house and making everyone else happy is hard when all you want to do is drink Robitussin and lay in bed and watch TV all day long. Hey! If your nose is stuffed up and can't even smell the garbage or dishes so what's the point??
I have been tempted to go to the doctor and see what's really wring with me but being pregnant you can't really take any meds anyway. I figure I'd be wasting my time and theirs. I did call however to ask a nurse what cold meds I can take.
Mean Nurse: "OK you can take Robitussin DM"
Me: "PM?!" (getting all excited that I may actually be able to get some sleep which hasn't been possible in oh like 3 days)
Mean Nurse: "NO. DM"
Me: "Can I take Tylenol PM to help me sleep" (Now I ask this because when I was pregnant with Xander my Nurse Practitioner said I can take it every night if I wanted to. And this was just for little aches and pains and insomnia)
Mean Nurse: "Um no. You can't. Sorry Robitussin. Robitussin DM is the only thing you can take"
End of convo. Mean nurse. Fine. I decided to follow orders and talk to my cute NP at my OB appointment and get her opinion.
WEDNESDAY FINALLY CAME! Now I can see my NP and ask all the questions I had asked my previous OB (not mentioning any names) but was told I should deal with it cause that's what I get for having a baby so close together. (not exact words mind you, but this is how it sounded)
Gained a few pounds and I now weigh 129.2 lbs. I am feeling it!
Heather saw me and gave me a hug. um major difference! Soo glad I went back to her. There's just something about a girl to talk about having kids. Men have no freaking idea what you feel. Yes, I was able to talk to her about all my questions and aches ans pains. She actually listened to me. Assured me I could take Tylenol PM! Hello sleep tonight. OH I'm so excited!
I laid back on the table so that she could get the heart beat ♥. I lifted my shirt to expose my growing belly and she immediately said "wow you're growing girl." Yes, I am!!! I started growing soo early this time around. 12 weeks to be exact. But I carry all in my stomach so I'm glad I don't get huge all over. She said I need a belly belt. Gotta look into that for sure!
After I sat up I told her how my due date kept changing and she asked what my first date was. I said July 31. She said well that what we'll go with. I just gained 5days again! Then she said "And we'll deliver you a week early too." This is because Xander was so big. I'm so excited to know that I have a plan once again and know pretty much when baby Zach will be here!

Spring Fever
This winter has been crazy good and for the first time in a while I felt good enough to get outside. So, I took Kymber out to play with her chalk and to get some some sun and get out all that 3 yr old energy that's been driving me crazy!! I'm so excited for the spring!

It's another Boy!

Yes, we finally found out that we're having another little boy! Xander and him will be such good friends because they will be about 14 months apart! Kymber is not so thrilled however but I'm sure it will wear off. I'm a little bummed that they're born in different seasons because I have to get creative and start all over on clothes for him, but it'll be fun!

New Carts for the 10 items or less shopper
I'm sure everyone has noticed these cute small new shopping carts that stores are now starting to provide for shoppers. Convenient they are! It sure beats lugging around the hand held baskets for the shoppers who only has but a few items.Today was the first day in a long time where I actually felt good enough to make something for dinner besides get on the phone and order the usual pepperoni pizza with bread sticks. 2 orders if I'm feeling ambitious. I have had this craving for some fried chicken lately so I thought today would be the day! Soon as Alan got home I made a beeline to Macey's. Not my usual store. I usually go to Walmart (which I always end up with more than what I actually went for) day i was determined to get my stuff for fried chicken and leave with nothing else.
I grabbed one of the big carts and then decided I'll be ambitious and grab one of those cute little convenient carts they now have. Not 2 min into the store..BAM! Stupid bar at the bottom hit my shin. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. And what do you think happened next? Yes, not even down the next isle\, when...BAM! Again. Yes, same stinking spot. I now have this lovely dark purple bruise on my shin.
SO...as convenient as they I do not think I will ever be grabbing one of those carts EVER AGAIN!

Kymber's Joe Dirt
Yes. It finally happened to me. The moment I thought would never happen. I knew I would be cursed with this only because I was known for doing this many times as a kid. Not only mine, but my little sisters as well.
Monday was quite a day in our house. Kids ornery galore and just plain on one. When 8:30 came around I was more than excited to put them to bed. peace and quiet. Famous last words!
After laying on the couch for a while I realized that our dumb heater pilot light was out. Where was the lighter?? Right. In Kymber's room on top of her dresser out of reach. "Great, I finally got her to sleep...now it'll wake her up!" I went in there anyway, can anyone really survive without a heater in middle of February? I think not.
I go in her room and what do ya know...Kymber is sitting strait up in bed and started whining and saying "Im sorry mommy!" At first I thought "Well she knows she should be sleeping..." I opened the door wider and caught a glimpse of her bangs. My gut dropped.
You're prob wondering what I saw....well, this is what it was...
So from start to finish my cousin Amy came to the rescue. Not till the next day of course...

Now I cannot believe I would even think about posting these, but Ive decided to humiliate myself and post my lovely hair cutting days as I kid... DO NOT LAUGH. Just say...she has a pretty smile and I will accept that.

Unborn baby Albright #3
I actually was very glad to have this doctors appointment today. Bittersweet. Let me clarify. I was excited for the ultrasound, NOT for the doctors appointment and my "yearly" let's call it.
Anyway, I had to have my MIL drive me up there because Alan works so much he had to meet us up there.
We got called into do the ultrasound first...hallelujah! Everything looks great she said! Looks like they are getting me off of slight bed rest (for now anyway0 I still have to watch myself like a hawk and make sure I don't bleed again. But for now I can go back to being somewhat normal! The baby is now measuring to be due August 1st. But the tech wont change the due date. "well see" she says. Whatever that means.

I've gained 2 lbs since I came in last which make a grand total of 4 lbs gained and I am now 124 lbs. Not much at all but it sure feels like I've gained ten pound at least by now. Nurse said that what I get for having them so close together because my muscles didn't quite have time to go back to normal. Bummer!
Saw Dr. Judd and somehow was able to skip my "yearly" until my 6 week post partum check up. He also mentioned that it's highly possible that this baby will be bigger. Seriously??!!! Xander was 9 lb. 7 oz. people and I was pregnant through most of the winter. Still miserable. Now imagine a bigger baby through the dead of summer. hmmmm something to look forward to. Did I mention that we do not have air conditioning in this place? Oh the joys...
Now after going today and seeing Dr. Judd I am just feeling like it's not the same. With Xander I had an awesome NP named Heather who ended up moving to a Nurse Midwife Clinic in Orem and I am thinking I may switch over to her. Now Judd delivered Xander and I still think highly of him. There is just something about a woman knowing exactly how another women is feeling, whereas a man cannot possibly. Also, she was THE BEST I have had so far. If I do this I plan on waiting until after my peek a boo gender ultrasound in 3 weeks, then Ill move my records...

Little Family Updating
I just had to brag about Kymber for a min. The other day she drew me a picture. I expected a bunch of scribbles. But nope! I got this...
Did I mention she's only 3? Clearly there is a face and hair and even eye brows...Now as talented as I think she may be she is still 3 yrs old. Yes that tantrums and the throwing toys and yelling at me phase (Does that ever end anyway?) Thus I have decided that it is now time to start a rewards/Chore chart for her. Kymber loves this ides. She loves to clean the bathroom for some reason and since ours is so small I decided t let that be one of her little jobs that she'll do. The others will be brushing her teeth, picking up her toys, and most importantly minding mommy and daddy. I think I'm being pretty reasonable about this. Gotta start somewhere. Now while I have not actually made that chart yet I do have one drawn out on scratch paper and went and got little stickers so she can mark when she's done a job. The reward part I am still debating about. Maybe I may pay her with money for every job that she does so that she still gets rewarded for the things that she does even if she misses a job or two one day.
She's sure growing up and acts more like a teenagers every day. With little comments like "mom there's nothing to wear!" or "I do NOT care!" or the famous when she gets in trouble "you are NOT my friend!" I can't help but laugh and shake my head.
As for our cute little Xander man. He still is not crawling like a normal little baby should. Instead he basically army crawls. But hey, Im not complaining because he can still get the job done. Plus it's pretty darn cute. He has his two bottom teeth now, which make me so grateful I stopped nursing him when I did. Don't put your fingers in his mouth, you may not come back out with them. Xander has taken quite the liking to Alan lately and pretty much prefers him to me. When Alan comes through the door Xander freaks out and starts crawling to him and screams bloody murder if he doesn't pay attention to him or leaves the room.
Xander can now wave hi (sort of) and says "dadadadadada" with no association to Alan but if you ask him Xander is saying dada. I wont burst his bubble.

Alan is going through academy again which mean I never see him. He's gone every single night until 9:30-10. I know that it'll be worth it in the end, but time cannot go any slower with it. Can't wait until he has his cop car so we can finally get my van Ive been wanting!
